My youngest is turning 5 in a couple of weels and I have no idea what to get her! She loves dolls, Disney Princess, Strawberry Shortcake, puppies, dress-up clothes, things like that. She's also a very active little girl. We already bought her a new "big girl" bike at the end of last summer....I just can't think of what else to get her!

Any and all real suggestions are much appreciated!

Please and thank you!!

  1. My daughter is five as well.  She likes scooters (the little pink Disney Princess one with three wheels).  I got her a Hannah Montana wig for Christmas and she absolutely loves it!  She plays with that and sings and dances all over the place.

And what about the learning roller skates?  They have three stages.  First they don't roll backward, then they have brakes, then they go to regular skates.

I took my daughter to Build-A-Bear for her birthday.  She loved picking out her own animal and clothes.  It was her stuffed animal, done all by herself and she couldn't have been prouder of herself!

    I hope this helps!

  2. How about a Disney Princess dress collection.  You can get washable princess dresses for her and her dolls at http://www.princesstreasurechest.com

  3. Nintendo DS, but you have to help her take care of it but she's old enough to have one they are great for long trips.

    Webkinz

Barbie computer -educational- will help her get ready for school

  4. Hmm, my vote is for dance lessons or a pony - I'm pretty sure she'd get pretty excited about either one.

  5. How about a toy shopping cart with all the fixings, and a toy cash register? Or.....a small trunk of dress-up clothes/shoes, a disk swing to tie on a tree in your yard, or a scooter. All of these things my daughter loved when she was 5.

  6. Webkinz is always a winner in my house. For my girls and boys!

  7. Lelli Kelly's! They are the most ADORABLE shoes and are sturdy and washable, too. I usually buy mine on eBay and have found good prices on them there. My daughter (will be 5 soon) just loves hers!

Another place for good dress up dresses is called my dress up trunk, again on eBay. You can get "packages" where you buy 3 dresses and dresses to match that fit her doll, too. The best thing I've found with my dress up trunk's dresses are that they are washable and well made. That's HUGE in my book.

    Happy Shopping!

  8. try a barbie princess /dvd or cd rom and maybee a scooter or lots of colouring books witgh textas or if els fails get her a dinky doctors set or a inflatiable barbie castle or barbie sofa bed hope this helps

  9. Check Usborne Books - http://www.ubah.com/g2687

They have great activity books, Kid Kits, games and more - kids love them, but they are all educational and well made!  My 5 year old son loves the Learning Palette, which is a self-correcting interactive learning toy for math and reading.  Happy shopping!

  10. Books, story Cds

    Craft/ art materials

    judo lessons and gi

    two-wheeler scooter (the folding kind)

    Pogo stick

    stilts

bow and arrow (the toy sort, think robin hood)

nothing disney/ barbie (mindless commercialism, stereotyping and cultural imperialism), nothing computer-related. Get her mind and body buzzing.

  11. When my twins turned 5 we bought them a bouncy house.  Not too expensive and they play in it for hours.  Somethimes we let them fill it with the little plastic balls to play with.  In the summer when it is really hot, I will spray the hose into it on a soft spray setting.   They stand up to water nicely.  Just make sure the blower part is out of the way.  The nice part is that in winter if you have a big enough house or garage you can set it up in there.  Wal Mart is a great place to look for these.
