My daughter is 9 months and only weights 13 lbs 14 oz she is up to date with motor skills and eats great ?

She just sounds a bit on the smaller size.  I really wouldn't worry about her.  Babies comes in all sizes.  If your doctor isn't worried than you should not be either.

Well, my 9 month old boy only weighs 16 pounds.  (They're probably pretty close to each other, percentile-wise.  I know he's under the 5th percentile.) He also eats well and is VERY active-- crawling, cruising and standing.  His 9 month checkup isn't until Friday, so I don't know what the doctor will say yet, but my son is very healthy (nice and chubby, too).  He's just little!  

Both my husband and I were small babies, so I figure it's genetics.  And it's not either of us are huge now, either.  He's 5'10", and I'm 5'2".  So personally, unless a doctor tells me otherwise, I'm not going to worry.

yes..my daughter is 11 months and weighs 17 pounds 11 oz

     she was only 3 pounds at birth though.

some babies just dont gain weight that fast,,,if she is up to date on everything , is doing fine otherwise, and the doctor hasnt had any worries then I wouldnt be overly worried about it

alot of it is in the genetics, and even though she may be small now, give her a few more months and she may  go through a growth spurt and suprise you

that's a tiny girl! some people have to clean our their baby's closet and put a bigger size in every 2 months- you'll at least get to see your baby wear outfits a few times before they're put away. my baby is 9 months and just now fitting in 6-9 month clothes and i'm just glad i got my money's worth out of her 3-6 clothes. if she is alert, content and active there shouldn't be anything to worry about!

Yes, My baby girl is 8 months and weighs 14 pounds. She eats well also. She is very smart as well. Her doctor has also told me me she healthy. I worry somtimes though, but I think it is normal. As long as they are healthy it's ok. Was she a small at birth? Are you a small person?
