Do any of you parents have a good speech 5 to 10 minutes I could give my daughter to present to her class mates.

  1. mmm, I think you should let her write somthing up... Kids come up with some very genuine ideas at times and besides, her classmates would probably understand something that she wrote up... give her ideas, don't write it for her.

  2. Tips:

1.Let Your Child Intoduce Herself To Everyone.

    2.Play Along.Her Classmates Really Don't Care.

  3. It should be hers.  You do not want to start the copying too early.  Let her soar with her own ideas and her confidence in herself will soar too.

  4. too flippin cute!!! She should thank her constituents and promise to perform her duties with diligence.

  5. I would have to agree with others on this one. She should write her own, voice her own opinions. If you want her to grow up and be independent in a competitive world, it is best to let her do it. You can guide her, but do not write it for her.

I know as a parent, you want her to represent herself, and yourself well, but also you should want her to learn and grow from this experience. Give her credit, if she is being elected then there are qualities that her classmates liked about her that she should reinforce.

You can guide her by asking her questions such as...

What are some nice things that you do for others?

Are you willing to go out of your way to be nice to everyone?

Ect... and in no time, you will have helped her write her speech.

    Good luck.

  6. yes, since she'e vice president shant she should be responsible enohu to write something up?

besisides, u could probably use some props or something

  7. One thing you could do is have her write a sort of introduction about herself, and then use each letter of her name to describe herself or something like that. For example, if her name is Nicole, you could put:

N is for nice, because I always try my best to be nice to everybody.

    I is vor interesting .....

Or something like that. If you make it fun for her, she will probably enjoy making something up to tell her class, and her class will probably enjoy listening to her.

  8. I agree she should write her own.  Just be sure she is careful to avoid some things and mention others.

    Avoid:

--Calling the teachers an "axis of evil."

    --Michael Moore interviews.

--Discussing the Israeli/Palestine conflict.  It's a touchy political situation there.

--"No Child Left Behind" bill.  It's a terrible idea and the teachers will be against your child if she mentions it as a good thing.  If she does mention it, by accident, and the teachers ARE against it, then her best bet is to call the teachers part of the "axis of evil."  Keep doing it despite public opinion.

    Be sure to mention:

    --Lower taxes

    --Less homework

--That she has a vague, unknown plan to balance the federal deficit.  If it's not balanced while she's in power, it's the fault of Congress for voting against the unknown plan.

--She vows to clean up the environment (be sure she does NOT act on that promise.)

--She will end poverty and work for the middle class.

Be sure to also have lots of moms in the audience when she gives the speech.  Not just any moms...but moms with babies.  She can go around and kiss the babies when she's done with her speech.

What inspired me to write this...I have no clue.  I just had nothing productive to add.  So I figured this would be a good substitute.

    Matt
