She is 12. Nothing about going outside or anything that involves leaving the house, unless shes with a friend. May i remind you she is 12!

  1. I agree that projects would be a good idea.  Maybe she can learn to put together some simple meals so you two can eat when you get home.

Other activities would be homework, reading, sewing, doing crafts, playing video games, watching tv, writing in a journal, or cleaning the house.  Basically things that teens do when you are there too.

  2. Ask her if she would be willing to do some house work in return for extra money. Perhaps even consider getting her a pet like a dog so she can take it for walks.

  3. enroll her in a summer camp or something like a class because poor girl! she must be so bored.

  4. Definitely reading, homework(not exactly exciting i know, but its something to do) like the others said internet, and chores for cash. Dancing around to 80's music is always fun. Maybe some kind of art project or something. Think of some of her hobbies/interests and be creative.

  5. im 12 to..........and my mom leaves for work to and what I do since its my only private time since its just me and my mom who live together...........But since its private time.....omg I cant belive Im saying this....but I have my own private laptop and so I watch p**n and m********e and wen a friends over we m********e each other so......that would be an acward conversation but thats what I do

  6. do you allow her to go on the computer? and if you do does she like to go on it? if she does then she could do that or watch tv, listen to music read, have her pick up the house or somthing, theres lots to do

  7. if she is allowed to be on the computer

or have her watch some anime like cardcaptor sakura

  8. Get her involved in something that will be a project for her that she looks forward to.  If she has lots of pictures. have her start scrapbooking them.  Take her to the store and buy a scrapbook and let her pick out stickers, etc. to put in it.  She can do a few pages a day until finished.

Maybe let her redecorate her bedroom or bathroom...

Are there any fun classes she can take through parks and recreation in your neighborhood?

The computer is scary when unsupervised, but if you have blocked bad sites and trust her to beon it, have her design her own blog on something she's interested in and get other kids her age involved.

Try to keep her busy because being bored is the number one reason kids get into trouble when parents are away.

    Good luck to you!

  9. maybe rent a movie or something some times seeing a new movie is kinda fun or maybe some computer games.
