  1. Probably safe but you don't say where she wants to go. I will assume she wishes to study in Europe.

If the EC she will need a student visa and to obtain that she has to have been accepted by a suitable college for a named course. The visa is good for 2 years and will allow part time employment to pay part of the costs, that's why there are 1000's of Australian bar staff in London.

  2. yeah its safe....

As long as she is smart enough to know right from wrong...

  3. Tell me what country, I think like El Salvador may be dangerous but Switzerland would be safe

  4. There are dangers in being anywhere, even on the college campus. These programs usually take the best care of the students that they can, and one very rarely hears of anything truly dangerous happening (if ever). Traveling abroad is an incredible experience and opportunity! Studying overseas enables a student to have hands on experience when they are studying cultures, social movements, art, languages, etc.

  5. It depends on the country she wants to go to

  6. Parents always think their student will be safe, no matter what college he/she attends, as long as they stay "at home."  I'm sure the parents of the students at Virginia Tech would disagree.

While you wouldn't likely send your daughter to, say, a college in the middle east if you are American, she is likely to be as safe at most study/abroad programs as she is "at home."  Also, she will gain valuable insights that she will never get at home.

Sometimes you just have to have faith.  Talk about why she wants to study abroad.  Then make the decision.

    Good luck!
