My daughter is deployed to Al Udeid , Qatar . NEED ADVICE of staying in touch .?

My daughter is in the Air Force and she deployed to Al Udeid , Qatar today for four month and I want to stay in contact with her . I am buying a webcam so we can communicate . Will she be able to use one over there or can I send her one . How long will it take for her to receive mail and packages ? Any advice is very appreciated .

Mail takes about a week ,most packages too.   E-mail whenever   web cam  Unkn.

Computers are accessible via her unit.  Set up a yahoo or gmail acct to email.  Some folks use pre-paid calling cards and they can be used world wide.  A way I share video, images,and home movies is YouTube.  An account can be set up with a valid email address.  Your space can be set up to only allowed to be viewed by email invitation so no one else can view it.  the camera will work if she has a personal computer and not gov't issue.  Some computers are swept clean often of non-standard software(s) to keep the likely hood of a drive crash to a minimum.

Mail goes every 5-7 days.  Bubble wrap it big time.  Mark it breakable.
