she just turned 8 months old on the 27th. She was eating everything from the 6 month stage but now I'm guessing because its thicker in consistency she wont take it especially the meat ones like from "moms recipe" she will eat the vegetables because its still smooth. she vomits as soon as she takes the first bite and when i say vomit i mean like 2 feet across the room. she has one tooth coming in at this moment. does anyone else experience this?

As of right now she will eat those baby mum-mums arrowroot cookies but that's it for the solid foods. i dint know what to do and if this is a problem. maybe shes just a late bloomer or a little stubborn.

what can i introduce to her to get her eating more thicker food. i have tried making my own baby food but she wont eat it only pureed fruit that i make she will eat

  1. try a different brand. gerber or beach nut.. try finger foods they have my son was eating those at 8 months. there smushy. i think there gerber and they have apples , peaches, carrots

  2. Just go with the flow she will eat the stuff when she is ready

  3. Hi

what your daughter is doing is perfectly normal. She's just not ready to move on to a thicker consistency yet. I would keep her on the 6 month food an try her again in 2 or 3 weeks. I have 3 children and neither of the 2 oldest were able for the 8 month food before they were about 10 month. my 7 1/2 month baby is still eating everything pureed.

    She's fine, don't worry.

    Good luck!

  4. Don't worry, my daughter just started eating stage 1 from beech nut and she's over 7.5 months old!  I have been trying since around 5 or 6 months here or there and she just didn't want it...now she eats cereal in the morning and fruit at night.  I will probably wait a few weeks before I go to the stage 2.  Your dd is fine, don't worry.
