I live in a quiet middle class residential area in Texas. I don't really know my neighbors very well and don't really want to upset them. But I was kinda wanting to have a Luau in my backyard for my daughters 13th birthday. I would like to have music and karaoke at night but Im not really sure if it is legal or what I should do. I also would like ideas for a Luau as in games and things teenagers would like to do. Or any other suggestions on a 13th birthday party would be great. My daughter isn't a real girly girl or anything and I am not allowing a coed party. I know I am too over protective just ask my daughter!:) I would love some suggestions or advice anything you guys can help me with. Thanks!

  1. Consider notifying the neighbors. Just tell them how you're feeling: that you're having a party and you don't want to disturb anyone. This will also open the door for them to be courteous to you in the future.

Plan a cut-off time and tell the neighbors it will be done by, say, 9 p.m.

    Good luck in your planning!
