My daughter just ate cat puke?

Question

My cat puked underneath the dining room table. I did not know. I went to pick my daughter up to change her diaper and found her eating the cat puke underneath the table.

She is 17 months old. Is this going to hurt her?

No, it shouldn't hurt her.  I would give her some milk to  counteract the acidic value of vomit, and watch her closely for the rest of the day just to be sure, but I doubt it will cause her any harm.

Just to be safe I would let her doctor know and do what he says, but I do agree with everyone above. Good luck!

Probably not, maybe a slight tummy ache but nothing serious. I would just give her lots of water/juices and maybe just call the dr. to ask abou it. But i'm sure she will be just fine.

OMG that is so horrible to find your baby doing that. Although I don't think it would hurt her. I found my daughter eating my dog's dog food and it just really grossed me out. Kids like the darn-est things. Good Luck

no it shouldnt but just give her plenty of fluids to try flush it out of her system and maybe give the doctors office a call to get a medical opinion just incase : ) hope she's ok.

Probably won't hurt her, but give her lots of water to flush it through her system.  What is questionable to me is why the cat puked...if he/she at something that made it sick...then you would need to know what it was, so that if it was anything toxic, you could call the dr and ask for more specialized treatment plan for your daughter.

Wow! I am so glad that it is not just my kid! LOL! My son did the same thing except it was my mom's dog not a cat. As some of the others have said, just give her plenty of fluids and hopefully it will just work its way out by itself. I gave my son pedialyte because the electrolytes are supposed to help with hydration and tummy aches. I guess. Good luck!
