  1. It depends on what brand she is wearing. They could be 2 week or 30 day disposables...or may even be conventional lenses ( good for almost a year)

    Are you sure she isn't putting new ones in on schedule ?

    If she is following the wearing schedule for them , then there is no problem, but if you mean she is wearing the same ones forever, then yes, she is going to cause herself some serious problems.


  2. Contact lenses arent harmful and normally should be sold by a eye specialist even if you do not need prescription ones. If you were contact lenses hygeine is very important. If you are not cautious of things like washing your hands with non fragant soap and cleaning the contacts with a solution regularly then that can cause harm to the eyes. When we wear contacts protein is built u from our tears and adhears to the contacts. Coloured contacts over in australia which haven't been sold by an eye specialist usually last for a month or 30 wears. I would think it should be the same over there.
