  1. All insurances are different, so you need to check with your policy to find  out what their coverage is and if they allow for yours to be a secondary. Your lucky your ex insurance gives that much. You also need to make sure that yours has ortho coverage. It is not illegl to have more than one dental insurance, one would be primary and the other be secondary.

  2. I really doubt it. The fact that half will be covered is good. Some dont cover at all.

  3. Most likely not.  Insurance companies will do whatever they can to NOT pay a claim.  They may even claim fraud if you try, so be careful.

  4. Braces? Why doesn't she just wear a belt?

  5. Probably not.

But my ex's insurance payed for 2,000 dollars, and we only had to pay 300.

  6. The obvious answer is, ask them.

If they won't cover the $2500, that amount should be divided between you and your ex. Just because his insurance covers 1/2 doesn't mean he should be left off the hook.

  7. It all depends on the policy. If your daughter is on your plan and it covers ortho, then it is possible. If the ortho is already started, probably not. Secondary insurance may not cover the total cost, but may help out. It is rare to have the full cost covered by insurance. Dental insurance should be considered a bonus to dental care, as it generally does not cover a great deal.

  8. Probably not.

    Apply for Care Credit

  9. IDK---you will have to check with YOUR policy.....all insurances are different!

  10. contact the office/financial manager of that office and ask.

they may accept the second insurance or not.

  11. vote for Obama and then wait about a year, then you'll be able to afford it, although be warned we may turn into a communist nation and doctors will not be as good as they are now

  12. In my experience, if both parents have insurance, they send the claim to one insurance first and then to the other so it often results in you not having to pay anything. Check your with your insurance company policy to see what they would pay. Your dental office may also be able to send a predetermination request to both insurance companies to see what they would pay before you even schedule an appointment. Once the estimates come back, then you will know exactly where you stand. But, like I said, depending on how much your policy pays, you may not have to pay anything. It may be different for braces though. Good luck. =)
