Question:

My daughter of 9 months has just put a crayola pen in her mouth could see get ill or somthing?

the pen is her older sisters and left it laying around. she was chewing on the tip end and got the pen all in her mouth. the pen is crayola mini kids washable. this has never happend to me before and im worried that she might get ill or somthing. please any advice would be great even if im over reacting

Could she get ill, no but she may very well choke, please be aware of these sort of things laying around

I think maybe you should call the doctor as soon as posssible,, that would be the best option cause that happened to my baby brother and he was sick for weeeks and weeeks and faced near death! do it as soon as posssible!!! the quicker you see a doctor the more chance your daughter will survive!

All kids do this infact im sure the manufacurers prepare for this kind of thing.

We all know children eat anything they can get their hands on!

I remember when i was a kid my sister tried eating a worm YUK.

Im assuming you've washed her mouth out.....she'l be fine :)

no crayola are specially made for kids, so they keep in mind that some kids like to eat pens when making them!

I believe Crayola is non-toxic. Look it up on Wikipedia to be sure.

That's not to say that kids should be encouraged to eat anything that's a non-food product, but with a crayola marker you're likely very safe.

If you are concerned or if she begins to show any ill-effects then you should contact a doctor or poison control for re-assurance.

No there's no risk at all. If it is crayon for kids then they will be expecting the child to suck on them and eat them, so they will be non-toxic.

if it is non-toxic it shouldn't effect her but if you are worried about her take to a doctors and ask him/her about what has happened and should it effect her.

No, course not. They make them safe as they know kids will put them in their mouths. I don't know a kid who HASN'T eaten a Crayola at some point.

I used to eat them ALL the time. The black ones were the nicest.

Crayola materials are non-toxic so no harm has been done. If you have trouble getting it off her skin try a paste of baking soda and water.

99.9% of the time the crayola stuff is non-toxic, although iy still should not be put in her mouth, she'll be fine!!!!!

no she will be fine don't worry i used to be the same you try and protect them from all the germs when they are tiny but my daughters 18 months now and she has chewed a crayon before, she eats mud in the garden and if there are any bits on the floor she eats those too thats what kids do they dont understand that things are dirty or shouldnt go in there mouth coz they might choke, you just have to be on you guard all the time x*x

They probably put flavoring in them.... she's fine, I've accidentally bitten off part of a normal pen and got ink all over my mouth and I was fine... what could she get sick from?

I put those in my mouth all the time, and I ate playdough too... I remember it was really salty.

she'll be fine, their non toxic. lol just letting you know, alot of kids put crayons in their mouths, i been to my sister in laws job, and has seen it, and they try eating playdough too lol. stop worrieing, babies fine.
