my daughter sent me a few pictures from her trip. im trying to put them from my computer to the memory card of my phone. But when i select the picture and drag it into the memory card, a little thing pops up and says "the disk is write-protected. Remove the write-protection or use another disk."

What does that mean? Can someone PLEASE help me?

And how do i remove the write-protection?

  1. It means that one of two things..

1.your trying to "move" the pics instead of "copy" the pics to your phone...

    2. Your phone has it's memory card locked... meaning that you can't copy or delte anything from the phone....

Pull out the card and see if there is a little Unloch tab on it..  or maybe your phone has a "lock" setting in it's menu

  2. i dont reallly know, i usually right click and put send to and the portable divice appears, and i click to send it there.
