  1. ask the doctor for a referral to a urologist and counselor.

  2. question number  one    does  she still  wear  them   during the  day   if  so   their  is a  problem   cause   no  eleven yr  old  wears   pull ups    unless  its  at night   then   its understandable   have  her go to  the bathroom   before bed   and  no drinks after seven  .

  3. If its not a medical problem then its a mental one and she should see a counselor and get this addressed. I do not know anyone who's child is 11 and in a pull up.

  4. Some kids are just really hard sleepers and haven't grasped the concept to wake up when they need to go.

  5. This is very common. After 12 years old it is less common, but still happens. You can just leave it and let it come together on its own, and it will. Or you can get a pill from the doctor... I am not sure what it is called, but I hear it has hardly any side effects at all and is very safe. Another thing that some people try is to see a chiopracter.

I would make sure that she is at ease. I would not punish or make her feel ashamed. It will come together. She is not the only one her age wearing pullups I can assure you. It is common for 12 year olds to still be wearing them.

It is simpely that the bladder has not fully developed yet. Some kids are out of them by 2. My daughter is 8 and almost out of them now.

  6. it is a medical problem my brother had the same thing. you have to be a little more patient. there is technology out there that can help with that problem ask a different doctore.

  7. At 11 years old if they can't find anything medically wrong with her physically it is most likely a mental issue and should be looked into by a councler, possibly a childrens psychologist.  I would make sure though that the Dr has ran the proper tests to rule out any medical problems such as cancer, hormonal issues and/or bladder conditions (my mom has always had a very weak bladder which Dr's at first said she was just doing it on purpose but she wasn't), then if the Dr can prove he has done all he can do I would work with the councler because something is going on physically or mentally or emotionally with your daughter.  I can understand pullups at night but not during the day at that age.

  8. Some kids are just really hard sleepers and haven't grasped the concept to wake up when they need to go. My 10 year old nephew is having that problem as well.

  9. maybe she has same anxiety or other issues, maybe she needs to talk to a mental health councillor

  10. It might not be medical problems but I would have her checked. Bcause that can be a problem. Just talk to her docor and explain why you feel this is problem. She will tell you what you should and shoundn't do. Maybe it's not medical maybe it's emotional. It's not normal, but I'm sure more 11year olds have the problem too. But I would really have my childs doctor look into and not do a crappy job looking into it. I hope I helped.

  11. This is actually fairly common.  Have you tried the 'cool alert' pull ups?

    Options:

You can wait another 6 months if you wish.

If your doctor has not ordered tests or referred you to a urologist that has done tests, then a medical problem cannot be ruled out 100%.  An ultrasound or MRI might be needed to check the size of her bladder.

There are excercises that can strengthen her muscles that may help her control her bladder.

  12. She may be stressed. Take her to a homeopath doctor.
