What would a ten year old do with a phone it isnt like she has alot of friends or importamt business to take care of . Getting her a phone will be trouble for you and her because you will have to pay those house bilss plus an extra phone and she will want to take it to school and show it off and at school it might just get lost or stolen and then you have paid a bunch of money for something lost just buy her a dollar phone and call it a day. just tell her she will get one when she gets to high school. My mom keep me busy with that story

A 10 yr old doesn't need a phone in the first place and since she already has one, you teach her to be satisfied with what she has!  Do you plan on giving her EVERYTHING she wants?  Kids are way to spoiled these days anyway and you shouldn't be teaching her to be so materialistic!!

1st of all, they have cell phones really cheap at walmart. get a net10. that's wt i have. the phone is capable of everything - cameras, internet, texting, calling, games. plus u can't go over ur minutes & have a huge bill. but, 2nd of all, she needs 2 learn 2 work 4 stuff. i saved 10 wks 2 get my $80 phone, so she should work 2. teach her abt responsibility & money by giving her allowance based on the chores she does, or have her do stuff like wash cars, sell food, sell lemonade, whatever. she needs 2 pay 4 the phone herself. if she won't do that, then she doesn't deserve a phone & should be happy w/ the 1 she has.
