My daughter wants to go to Europe

Ok, My daughter has an opportunity to travel to England, France, and Italy with a school trip. I am wandering will her AT&T phone be able to call internatational and what about electric gizmo's will they work over there? Thanks for the input

  1. Make sure you talk to AT&T before you leave so you can set up a plan. If not.....she'll have service when there but will have to pay 50 cents per text and like five bucks or more per min for a call. Please call them and ask for an international plan. Although I don't know the exact prices, its not cheap. Different satellites get used and the provider there will bill AT&T for that usage.

    I know this because my sister ranked up a $800 bill. I only told to text for emergencies. errrrr!


  2. Phone, probably not.  You need to check the actual phone and find out if iis has multi-band capability.  Then check with the server.

    many of the other gizmos will work as long as she has correct voltage converters, and plug adaptors.  

    Rechargeable batteries may suffer a shortening of usability time...some of mine didn´t hold a charge for a whole day over there.  

    Ipods, computers, etc. should all work with out problems...GPS (if she has one on her phone) will have to be programmed.   I think they can be made to work.
