  1. It is wonderful to begin to be an entrepreneur at an early age.  And yes, she can do the work in your home where you can supervise.  At the age of 12, unless you actually know the families, it is best that the children be brought to her.  First of all there are state laws that permit only about 5 children without a state permit (that is how it is in many states).  If you have 6 or more you have to go through a lot of red tape to get approved.  Next, she will have to make sure the children all have their shots.  That is to protect her against any major diseases.  Next, she will have to set her pay scale according to what the going rate in that area is, and possibly a little under.  Then, she will have to get a history of each child (does the child has asthma, epilepsy, heart trouble, difficulty breathing, etc.)  If she hires other girls, they can work together to create a lovely environment depending on the ages of the children.  So yes, she can go into business with of course, your supervison--- Happy Entreprenurial Adventures---- Toni D.

  2. Hello. I'm concerned that at 12 she is too young for that responsibility. She is still a child herself. If something happened she isn't mature enough or has enough worldly experience to deal with it. How would she live with herself if there was a fatal accident?

I myself would not leave my children with anyone under 18 and I would be concerned that other parents would.

Obviously you want to encourage her enthusiasm but I think its too much of a responsibility for her at such a young age.
