upon return to public school next year will she need to take the State required tests?? We used Keystone High School for her Math, English, History, Science & Technology courses and Abeka Academy for her speech course. They are all accredited so the school should accept them no problem right?

  1. Depends on what state you're in and what school district. Some districts are very home-school friendly and will accept what you've done at home. Others are not so friendly and can make life difficult. Find someone at the superintendent's office ASAP and ask them what's required so if you need to do any work over the summer you can get started.

  2. Yes they should, that doesn't mean they will.  Returning to High School from homeschooling is usually more difficult than getting into college directly from homeschooling.  Colleges are very open and accepting of homeschoolers, while High Schools often act like they want to "teach you a lesson" or "get revenge" for the decision to homeschool.

I hope everything works out for you.

  3. I've no idea; the obvious thing for you to do'd be to contact the school and ask them!
