My daughter (who is 17) and I are going on a cruise to Mexico in Sept. Does she need a passport to go to?

  2. it depends on where you leave from... I just cruise out of Puerto rico in feb and we live in Pa and we needed a passport to fly to PR if you are leaving from with in the states like florida or any other state you dont need one just yet not utill jan 2008 cruisers that live in Puerto rico didnt need one but next year they will  

    have a wonderfrul cruise...

  3. The requirement for a passport for land and sea travel does not take affect until Jan. 2008.

    If you are traveling in Sept, 2007, then your daughter does not need a passport.

  4. the answer to this is no.  I am cruising inOct and do not have to have my passport.  As of Jan 2008 you are required to have a passport to travel on a cruise ship.  If you are unsure abotu any othese rules contact your cruise line or their website or travel.stat.gov
