  2. With out any additional details I would say the "noise" is from the engine. All vehicles engines make noise when backing up or driving.

If it is a high pitch sqeeling sound (metal on metal) it most likely is a wear indicator for brake pads or she has a rock stuck between her backing plate and her brake rotor brake.Thats only a common noise first noticed when backing up then both  in reverse and forward.Any other noise I would have to know what this noise sounds like!

  4. My Accord makes this same sound. It comes mostly from under the front end of the car. Increase the radio volume... it works for me.

    could be rear brakes but you haven't given us much to go on
