The florist will be happy to make the ribbon for you.

You can pick the ribbon color and size, the color of fabric paint, to compliment the arrangement, and have "Beloved Godmother" or something appropriate written on the ribbon.

Most florists use gold or silver fabric paint.

If you are making the flower arrangement or purchasing a pre-made one from a store, you can also make the ribbon yourself.

Ribbon and fabric paint can be purchased at Wal-Mart.

I do this occasionally.

You may want to practice with the fabric paint, on an extra piece of ribbon, before writing on the selected piece.
