My daughters voice changed after tonsillectomy!?

Question

Has anyone had their childs tonsils and adenoids removed

and their voice became leaky and nasal-y? I can't understand most words coming out her mouth and it has only been 9 days. I am scared something went horribly wrong.

something probably went wrong take her to the er imidently for an emergency surgery! that happened to my friend and it took 3 more surgeries before it went away. good luck.

even though i am not talking from personal experience, i would think this is normal because you are still in recovery.

More than likely it is still swollen inside.  This will go down with time.  Did they prescribe her any type of anti-inflammatory, like Naproxen?  That my help.
