  1. m3. faster, more fuel effiecient, roomier, girls like it more, usable back seat, etc. m3's are easy to control, john doesnt know what hes talking about. m3's are tuned specifically to MAINTAIN control despite crazy driving, with all of the electronic stability and traction control on m3's, you have to TRY to lose control of this car. i drove a used evo for my first car before buying an m3 down the road, and ive had no trouble with driving performance cars ever, from 16 to my 20's. you'll be fine just take care of the car.

  2. I do hope you're being saracstic about those vehicles as a first car.

My parents bought me a used Chevrolet s-10 as my first car. It was very far from perfect when purchased, and didn't improve any with age. After three years, my dad wrecked it, and they bought me a new truck, with the understanding that I would pay them back for it (minus the value of the old one), and I have done so.

This is a lesson in responsibility.

  3. Don't get a fast car as your first car, I'm assuming you have little to no experience driving, and I don't mean up and down the driveway or on an uncle's farm in his old truck, I mean actually driving on the road with other cars around that you have to be aware of. I don't think it is a good idea mixing a performance car with learning to drive.

And Cory is talking out his ****, just cos a car has traction control and other gadgets doesn't make it idiot proof, and they aren't "designed" to be driven by rich spoiled brats who have more money then brains.

  4. Don't listen to olz, some people are more fortunate than others, that doesn't mean you do what the whole world tells you to do. Your dad worked for that money, and he's willing to give it to you for the day his son was born...anyways,..that doesnt mean you have to take it all...the last thing you dont want is to look like a spoilt kid..

since you mentioned 'first car' I wouldn't suggest a new car. If you want a mustang or m3, and 2nd hand would be a much wiser choice. As your options are closed down to sports only, your other choices can have 4 doors as well in the need of accessibility. EG: charger, EVO, impertza sti, etc...these will be in the price range instead of those 2 u mentioned.

With 2nd hand vehicles, you can upgrade/modify to ur needs.

I'm only 17, getting my first car in November. Probbaly going to be a mustang, firebird, and still thinkin about it.

  5. Hey! get the m3! and my dad just got me a 06 range rover but its really bad on gas!

  6. Tell him "keep your car just give me the money". LOL

  7. thats a dumb question. and you should get either casue youll most like wreck both of them. u need to buy a pos urself.

  8. go the muscle the chicks love it

  9. u shouldnt get a M3 as your first car it a fast car and u should gain more experience from driving  a not that fast of a car b4 u get  a M3

  10. Neither car is appropriate for a first car. I would get a Honda or Toyota first and get some experiance owning a cheap car first. The maintenance on the BMW is really expensive and I have seen many kids with a performance car for their first one totaling it in the first 6 months.

  11. yeah you'll  kill yourself in an M3 - I have a 635i - you need to be expierienced to control one  - at least 5 years - ther're made for performance not kids

you have no idea how easy it is to lose control - mentally you need to be well ahead of what your doing

there is no way a child in his first car would be capable of this

they're quiet - comfortable - and powerful = losing concentration and falling asleep is very easy

if your dad doesn't already know this - he's an idiot

  12. BMW M3 for sure. Don't waste your time on Fords.

I best hope that you are paying him back, or at least you have a job.

The most unattractive thing is a spoiled brat.

  13. you should tell your dad "no thanks, I dont want a car for my birthday, I am going to get a job and purchase a vehicle of my own when i save up the money."
