Question:

My dell d600 has a dead battery?

The chargers green light is on until I plug it into the computer.I removed the battery and plugged in the charger and the light on the charger still turns off and the computer will still not turn on.

Is this my charger or the jack on the computer?

  1. Borrow a cheap Volt meter from someone and measure the output of the transformer(Adaptor/Charger) and see if the output is correct.

    Plus or Minus 10-20 % is OK anything out of this threshold is not OK.
