it is possible, but unlikely.  it will depend on the Dell rep you talk to.

if the same configuration is cheaper now, you may be able to price match and get some money back.

Don't hold breath.  

My Dell was slow in being delivered.  I decided to upgrade to a better processor a few days later so I cancelled my first order and when I ordered the new one it included a free back pack free and price was slightly lower overall.

But that was just by chance.
