Yesterday my digital camera got wet. it wouldnt work.. so I took out the memory card and the battery and left it leaning against the wall.. luckily.. today it worked again, i pressed the ONbutton and it went on.. and I can see everything through the tiny-digital-screen-thing. HOWEVER..there's a smudge right in the middle caressing its way down to the bottom. I think it's from the water.. is this a permanent smudge within the screen? maybe if I leave it out for another day it will dry up completely? or did I ruin some plasma liquid behind the screen with the water?

Any suggestions? Advice? Please help me !!! I'd be sooo grateful , you have no idea!

  1. Let it dry again for a day. Most likely this is a problem just within the LCD. Make sure to clean your camera lens, but only with a proper lens-cleaning product! Other things (even T-shirts) can scratch the optics.

Other then that, check by taking a few new photos, and see if they are smudgy in the computer. If so, it MIGHT be worth getting your camera cleaned, but with camera costs so cheap this days...

    Good luck!

  2. If the smudge does not show up on your photos when viewed on your computers monitor, it is something you can live with until you buy a new camera in a few years.

PS .. your screen is a LCD ... Not plasma
