My digital camera turns on by opening the screen door on it usally it has a jingle and then goes to the menu.?

But now it hums and does not do anthing else. It wont turn on now.

Check the battery level. If that's not it check the screen door to see if it has or have had any small objects or water in or on it. I sounds like a jam of some sort or a run down of power.
