My digital camera vids wont play on my pc?

I have a new Norcent X125 digital camera, and it works great itself and I can view images from it on my pc but it wont let me show vids that i take on the pc, I can only watch the vids from the camera. Do I need to change the format? It comes up on the screen as avi. I've also tried playing it on Windows media player and quick time. neither worked. how do i solve this?

AVI should play on your pc. Your player, whatever it is maybe not set to play AVI. You have to configure that yourself. Dont know what player your using. Not about the camera, its about the format. If you cant find where to configure it I would say go to download.com and download a trial version of a converter. Put in AVI converter in the search area.

You'll need to dig deeper if you're going to edit your video, but if you just want to play it, get the VLC media player.
