My digital tv signal keep scrambling and when people are talking the sound and their lips movement don't match

I got my digital converter box from Circuit City yesterday. I brought it home and installed it. I do not get my favorite channels METV 23, WTTW 11, or WGN 9 plus the signal on some channels keep breaking up. I do not have cable so the picture I get now is crystal clear just like cable. It is these little problems that annoy me. What should I do?

Breakup and audio problems (lip-sync and dropouts) can be caused by a poor signal into the box.  The sensitivity of the boxes also varies between designs and I have seen a few bad boxes, too.

Make sure you are getting a good signal into the box.  There should be a signal indicator somewhere on the menus.  You may want to try a different antenna, too.  http://antennaweb.or is a good resource for this.

If you are getting a "crystal clear picture" for a good period (say five minutes), and you still have the lip sync problems, I would take the box back and complain.
