My direct tv hd receiver only goe up to 1080i and my tv is a 1080p?

  1. Hi Steve G,

    No you are not losing a thing. Your TV will automatically give you the best picture based on the input.

    The difference between 1080i & 1080p is miniscule.

  2. No, because no channel is broadcast at 1080p. Set your receiver to 1080i and the TV will de-interlace to show you 1080p and that's the best picture you can possibly get.
