My dishes have been coming out of dishwasher with a unfresh smell lately. ?

Does anyone no why this is and what I can do about. They are however, clean when I take them they just have a slight unfresh smell lately I really notice it on my glasses when I go to drink from one of them.

run it empty with a gal. of vinegar.

This should take care of that

Yes, use vinegar, but take a look inside your dishwasher first.  Most have a screen of some kind to catch things before they go down the drain.  You might need to clean there.

THEN do the vinegar.

put vinegar in your dishwasher where the detergent goes, then spray it everywhere in your dishwasher and let it do a full cycle with no dishes!  You can do this in your washing machine too...its an old cleaning method and it really works!

Use a small flat dish that will fit under your bottom sprayers and put clorox in it---put your dish soap in as usual---run the cycle--let it air dry and run a second rinse cycle.  all germs dead and yucky smells gone.  Had a dishwasher since 1964 this works best.  Good luck.
