My dishwasher is leaving a gum like gunk on everything I wash in it. I have used commercial cleaners and...?

scrubed it out be hand. The gum/wax like gunk comes back. The dishwasher in 12 yrs old and working well other then this one proublem. Time for a new one or is there something else to try?

  1. Maybe its the detergent your using.    I love electricsol cubes.   We use to have powder & that was causing problems.


  2. Try a more natural cleaning product in your dishwasher!

    This is my fave:

    650ml (3 cups) Castile soap

    10 drops of lavender oil

    8 drops of rosemary oil

    4 drops of eucalypyus oil

    or use any combination of your favourite essential oils

    Fill a 650ml plastic squirt bottle with the Castile soap (diluted as directed on the packaging if using concentrate). Add the essential oils. To use, just squire a few teaspoons of the liquid until hot running water.

  3. You need Jet Dry once a month.

  4. Try soms C.L.R. and see if that helps.
