Question:

My dishwasher won't pump water out of the spray arm. It drains, it fill the tub with water just won't?

spray out of the center to errect the spray tower/ wash arm. Any suggestions? I already removed the arm and cleaned it.

  1. It might be clogged with calcium build up.  You can try putting a little Tang where you would normally put the dishwashing detergent then run the dishwasher.  The Tang will help eat away the calcium build up if that is the problem.

    Otherwise, Mean Green may be right in that something like the solenoid or pump has gone out.


  2. Brand and model number of your dishwasher would help.

    My guess is there is an electric valve (solenoid) on the main pump housing that has to move to the right position for spray arm to work.

    If you are adventure enough, remove the very bottom panel and watch how things work.  Mind the the wires so you don't get a jolt.
