hi. when i put it on for a cycle it continues to run, i have to turn it off myself, the water never gets hot and some water remains at the bottom of the machine
Sounds like the same problem I'm trying to solve (on a Whirlpool Gold/Model GU1500) from 2003... It's taking about 2-3 hours to wash!! If the light indicators mean anything I think that it's stalling (foreveerrr) in the "sensing" and "water heating" parts of the cycle. So I'm guessing maybe the heating element(s) aren't working... I'm really hoping to figure it out myself, since we just had to pay a repair man to (not) figure out what was wrong with our Whirlpool refrigerator :-)
