My disposal will not start to grind. It just humms. I use the wrench to turn it a few times, then it works.?

The next time I use it I have to do the same thing with the wrench. What's wrong with it? Thanks.

the unit is not clear put some joy down it to lub it up and use the wrench to clear it, then grind some ice thru it to clear it all the way.

Sounds as though it has been overworked and jammed up at some point maybe even burnt out a winding in the motor.

Have it removed for inspection and repaired if possible always switch off the power befor messing with these gadgets

You may need a replacement. If something is not still caught in it (unlikely) it probably has leaked a little in to the motor and when it sits the rust seizes it up. That means the seal is bad and it is shot.
