My doc put me on medicine for my thyroid??

I've been struggling with my weight i go to the gym 5 days a week and i dont eat fast food nor do i drink soda so i should be seeing some type of weight loss.. well im not so my doc checked my throid levels and decided to try a medicine called levothyroxin.. does anyone have any information on this med how long does it take to start seeing a change??
