My doctor prescribed me acne treatment but still getting acne ?

he prescribed dalacin t topical solution which is suppose to kill any bacteria on my skin but it doesnt do anything. i used it for a week and i got 3 pimples today on my right cheek! and i was wondering i never got acne in high school but when i turned 18 my acne is like the worse i gotten and my friends was surprised because i didnt have acne before but i got bunch of them now on my cheeks well only a few but i got red acne scars everywhere

For most acne treatments, you have to wait at least a month. It takes time for some treatments to work. Sometimes there is an initial breakout, but then it heals soon after.

My advice is to give it some time to see if it works, and if you do not see an improvement in the next couple weeks, I suggest you go back to your doctor and ask for a different treatment.

As for the red scars, be sure not to pop, touch, pick, or squeeze your pimples! That is why you get scars. They may not look pleasant, but they heal faster if you don't touch them.
