I had been going to a doctor where I go to school and I had been taking 20mg ritalin extended release (methyphenidate sr/lr or something like that). When I came home for the summer my other doctor had to prescribe it and he forgot to write extended release. I already have the wrong medicine which I acutally should not take (the extended release is what i was INTENDED to take) which is funny because what I was able to get is probably more harmful/can be used more easily for incorrect reasons. If I want to get the extended what should I do? The people at the pharmacy said they could not give it to me without another presccription. Would I have to give the original back? Or would he even write another prescription so easily considering its a controlled substance and I currently have a lot of it? Or if i called back today (when I got it) and told him that I acutally needed the extended is there any way he would know that I already bought the ritalin? Clearly I want the extra.
