My doctor said that you only grow 2 more inches after you get your period. Is she wrong?

Well, I got my period when I was 12, and I am 12 now. I am 5'1. will I ever get to be 5'5? or will i stay a shorty for the rest of my life?

  1. your peroid doesn't have an affect on that.

    They are just guessing because they average the age and average how much you will grow.

    However, most girls start there peroid at 12 or 13 so she could be right.

    Girls stop growing at around 18 so I bet you will reach around 5'6 or 5;7


  2. remember that everyone is different. I was 11 when i got mine but grew 3 inches after that. so you could grow about 2 inches more or less.  

  3. Not necessarily usually about 1-5 in.

  4. well if your family is short or tall that can be a factor.

    my sister grew over 4inches after she got her period when she was 13, now she is almost 18.

    you're only 12 , give it time.

  5. She's generalizing. Everyone grows differently.

  6. did she say that girls grow 2 more inches or that you grow 2 more inches?

    because if she said you then maybe she meant that YOU will grow 2 more inches
