My does my ex wife's friend act like she is so innocent?

my ex and i are good friends and we talk about alot of things, and she brought up the subject about her friend. so she tells me that her friend hates me and that she never talks to me, and that she has no intention to ever get with me or anything like that. The other night we were all hanging out at a local bar, and when my ex went to the bathroom, her friend comes by and says hi to me. i just look at her like she is stupid. i asked her y in the h**l she was talking to me, and she tells me she is tryin to be nice, as soon as she seen my ex coming she took off the other way? what gives with this chick?

She wants you, that's clear. Have fun and use her. Over and over and over again, till you have enough.

Perhaps she is attracted to you but feels guilty since she is friend's with your ex.  She might not think it would be the right if she dated you and can't trust herself around you.  I know we are all supposed to be adults but in reality this is a gray area.  Men usually don't mind it but WOMEN do.  We feel that this is a resounding no.  Dating you might put stress on their friendship and you would hate to destroy it.  You also don't say who ended the relationship so there is also that to consider.

She's interested in you. She wouldn't just come out and tell your ex that for fear of alienating her. Right or wrong there is no reason not to be polite.

Maybe she is trying to cover up her true feelings for you- maybe she wants to be with you, but because she is your ex's friend, she feels like she has to hate you to support her. She needs to be honest, though, because even if you are not interested in her, there is no need for her to act like she hates you when your ex is around, but then be nice when your ex is in the other room.
