  1. Do not let it suffer take it to the vets or kill it.

  2. there are some people who will care for wild birds usually at least one even in a small town maybe your animal shelter can provide you with a name and number or at least point you in the right direction  maybe you can find help on the internet  meanwhile keep the bird warm  call a vet for advice too

  3. beat the dog and keep the bird it's the only way the bird will be happy.

  4. give it a little, call an emergency "exotics" or "birds' hotline in your phone book under animals or shelters..

wait and see if it rains look at the weather if its going to rain mabey you should wait until tomarrow put a towel in a box and wait if it gets more intentive put it in the box and make sure you wash you hands really well. be cafe ful and make sure it stays warm enough mabey put a heating pad under the towel? if it starts to look sickly take it some where like pets mart you can even do that now if your frightend for its well being.

i hope the poor thing is okay.

  5. Please take it to the nearest vat and  take care well of it and god bless you because of you kindliness and different from those who are killing the animals.

  6. if it wants to sleep forever then jsut let it go. otherwise take it to the vets! HURRY

  7. take it to the vet they can help you they will give it to the right people. you wont be able to help it your self, I've tried before my kids found it. (did not make it) good luck in what ever you decide

  8. go to the vet

  9. If it can not fly it is more than scared, it is probably also in shock from being handled. Put it outside, somewhere out of the way of your dog, let it recover by itself or die. Leave it alone.

The most important lesson from this is that your dog is YOUR responsibility. If you do not want it to hunt wild birds or animals, keep it on a lead.

  10. the wild birds will not accept it any more because you touched it so there is human smell on the baby

you can either look after it or put it to sleep forever

read the pet guide if you want to look after a baby bird

  11. Place it in a card board box with a towel in the bottom.  The box should not be to big - Leave it in the box for a little while (over night even) and check it in the morning. If it is just in a little shock - it should be better and then you can release it. Keep the box in a QUIET place - warm (but not hot).

If in the morning it is not better (and hopefully not dead) then contact a local bird rehabilitator. Birds are delicate and would need professional help if there is damage. If there is serious damage though - there is not much they can do.

When you check on it make sure the room is dog free and quiet. The last thing you want to do is scare it any more - that is why I suggest leaving it in a closed box over night.

    I wish you both luck!

If it is a baby then you will need a rehabilitatior. You can ask your local vet or environment center for names of people or organizations that can help.

If you need to feed it in the morning - mix dry dog food with a little water until it is mushy and then feed it with a coffee stirrer or something small enough to fit in its mouth.
