  1. It could be mites. My dog chews her paw out of habit from having mites, but I put a special teatree spray on it. It has a strong smell of teatree which dogs don't like. Now if she sees the bottle she stops l*****g and chewing it.

  2. this sounds like a flea problem

You can get flea stuff in the supermarket or stronger one from the vet

Also if he is really hurting himself you can use those neck collars (that look like upside down lampshades!) my dog had to wear one of these after an operation

  3. Maybe he has a tick or fleas or some other medical condition.

Take him to the vet to investigate further.

  4. he probaly has fleas, alot of dogs do that

  5. Maybe skin disease or parasites, you certainly should check.

May be worse: when I was a child I owned a mouse, and, to my horror, it has merely gnawed itself to death. They said it was nervous. I understand what a dog is not a mouse, but I urge you to ask a veterinarian as soon as possible.

  6. It couild be from stress.

    Are you moving furniture?

Is there tention on your house? (divorce, fights etc)

HAs someone from your household away?

Is there another person living with you?

These could be some reasons. Pets (expecially dogs and cats) get distressed when theres some sort of change in their life.

My cat is constantly chewing out his fur, especially around his bottom area.

There are medications you cat give your cat, but only via the vet.

    Xx

  7. first of all stop stressing, my dog ( a chihuahua ) does this all the time, i was worried at first to, then i talked to my friend and she said it was no big deal. my dog just had a small case of the fleas, and since it was on her legs she could not get to it with her paws, so she would bite her legs. Also when your dog does this it does not hurt them, because everybodys brain, and nerves only let you inflct a certain amounts if pain on yourself, before you cant help but stop at that point.

    hope i helped xD

    someone help me now,

  8. well my answer would be that the dog is bored he needs some attention lot of love and attention or you need to get him a mate to play with or even some dog toys lots of walks will take his mind off the chewing of the leg or there is a toy that u can get and u stuff dog food inside it and dogs play with it for hours trying to get the food out of it that's what i did for my dog when she got bored
