Question:

My dog cut the pad on her paw...?

It's a pretty deep cut, but no longer bleeding. She appears to be in a significant amount of pain, ie: limping, moping, favoring the leg while standing, etc. etc. She is responsive to food, and is anxious to be with me wherever I go...which is normal. Is there anything I can do for her to help ease her pain while this cut heals? If it would have been on myself, I would take some advil and stay off the foot. Which I have been trying to encourage her to do, but I know it's not good to give a dog ibuprofen. Is there anything I can give her?

  1. Call your vet, talk to them about the amount of baby aspirin they can have.  They'll be able to tell you the dosage.

  2. if it is a small dogs give it a baby asprin if it is large then a adult asprin also what are you putting on her pad to help it heal.

  3. I would put neosporin on it and keep it wrapped. That happened to my black lab and thats what I did. The pads heal pretty quick.
