Question:

My dog had puppies on my sofa! Do I need to do something special?

Fortunately I had a heavy blanket up there but 2 cushions got wet and fluid got down between the cushions onto the bottom part also. I dried it and cleaned it with what i had around the house. Is this all I need to do?

I can't smell it, but another dog came over and was sniffing that place. He was real curious about it.

Thanks!

  1. ew, dude ew. Try Odo Ban or heavy duity steam cleaning.

  2. I would buy a new couch you never know what germs or bacteria were in the blood

  3. as u prob know, dogs have INSANE smelling talents. Just cuz we can't smell it, doesn't mean they can't. I'm sure it's nothing, but it COULD start to smell on hot days. Wait until then to see ^-^

  4. It's just amniotic fluid, which is the same salt-water fluid that pregnant human women have.  It doesn't smell like anything to us, but since dogs have much better senses of smell, they probably can smell the mother dog's scent, as well as the new puppies' scent in there.  I think it would be best if you get an adult (maybe one of your parents) to rent one of those wet-dry upholstery vacs to give it a thorough cleaning.

  5. ewww.clean it before like bacteria or bugs start getting there.clean it with those window spraying antibiotics
