  1. It could be a hot spot. I had both my dogs on a different dog food for awhile and their coats got greasy and they had bald spots on their tails from l*****g and biting the area. I'm sure it itched and got sore. I bought some hot spot spray...some yukky stuff that keeps em from l*****g...and put them back on their Science Diet. No more probs..

  2. Mange is a sickness. not something an owner can cause. that was stupid of that person to say. I study zoology and I think you should have him tested for mange and maybe worms.

  3. Once a dog or cat has a sore -they l**k it and make it worse. I don't think mange starts on the chest area. I suggest you visit the vet in any case and rule out major problems, and get one of those "lampshades" for the dog. Good luck!

  4. your dog would not have mange unless your abusing him it might be liking to hard or might be losing hair from stress or something try taking him to the vet but it's not mange hope this helps and hope your dog is ok
