So my dog has been having difficulting getting up from our wood floor. Once he lies down, he has a really hard time getting himself up, it's gotten to the point where we need to get a carpet to put in front of him in order to get up.

also a few months ago we noticed a lump on his front right leg. when we touched it he didn't show any pain. so we figured it would go away. today it is half the size it was before. today I noticed another bump, this time on his back left leg. it is smaller in diameter compared to the first, but larger (as in pokes out further) compared to the first.

is this cancer, broken bone, signs of arthritis?????

he is a chocolate lab, 7 years of age, and is overweight.

  1. could be cancer take your dog to a Vet to be checked and it being over weight isn't helping him

  2. i would get him to the vets straight away my aunties dog had a tumor and nobody relized till it was too late

    unfortunately

  3. This could be some kind of cancerous tumor... I would get him to a vet ASAP!!  Believe me ...animals in pain are not having alot of fun... and they can't speak to you to tell you that!! Please take him to a vet!!!

  4. Only the vet can answer this for you.

  5. You need to take your dog to the vet.

  6. i highly doubt its cancer or a tumor of some sort..my dog had some what of the same thing. he had a pretty big bump on his leg and it didnt show him any pain...i guessed it to be a cyst so i took him to the vet and the vet said it is a different type of cyst that dogs get and its caused by excessive l*****g to the area and if the l*****g continues it will rupture.. but if you see him l*****g it..make him stop immediately or it can rupture

  7. It could be anything; it'd be kind of hard to give a definite answer with only that.

I'd take it to the professionals.

  8. it sounds like he may have a tumor.

if you havent already checked with your vet then you should do it asap.

hope your dog will be okay :)
