My dog has a pink spot on his snout and apparently he's had it before. Can anyone tell me what it is? It's not very big, but I'm being cautious. Thanks :)

  1. Don't worry it's completely normal. Under that black skin dogs have pink noses, and they peel skin just like we do. The main causes might've been rubbing the nose against the crate door, concrete side walks, pen doors, or even furniture. If there are wounds on the nose, go to the vet so they can give you an antibiotic for it. It usually takes more than heat, rain and snow to get rid of the blackness.

  2. There is a condition called Winter nose, or Snow nose (depending on where you are). But as it's not Winter in the northern hemisphere??  However if it's a spot, it could be anything - pigment?  Is he bothered by it?    Always difficult to diagnose, and dangerous too, without seeing the problem.  Vet?

  3. a scar
