Question:

My dog has a swollen ear.?

I have a one year old cocker spaniel who has never experienced problems with his ears before... About 2 hours ago he was playing with a dog on the field and I heard a yelp so I think he may have been bitten. His right ear is now visibly swollen and he won't let me anywhere near it to check. There doesn't look to be anything wrong with the inside of his ear but the ear flap is swollen from top to bottom. I am wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be and if I need to get him to a vet today (it is a Sunday so it will cost £100) or if i can wait until tomorrow morning to have him checked out. Also anything I could do in the meantime to help him out.

Thank you for any help.
