My dog has a swollen nose and has bumps inside his ears and chest.And i gave him 150 benidril. What do i do?

  1. Did you give him 150 mg. of benadryl?  Is the dog 150 lbs. because usually the dose most veterinarians use of benadryl is 1 mg per pound. So unless your dog weighs 150 lbs. you overdosed your dog.  You shouldn't ever give your dog OTC medication unless told to by your vet.  The swollen nose and the bumps could be caused by any number of things and if you don't know the cause, you can't treat it.  Take the dog to the vet.


  2. Wait to see if the benadryl makes a difference. Watch his breathing closely to make sure he's alright. If the benadryl doesn't make a difference, take him to the vet. It does sound like an allergic reaction, but if that's the case it should be fixed with what you gave him.
