  1. NO.  You've already asked this question, learn to use the internet and take your dog to a vet.

  2. please don't! i suggest you bring him to a vet and have him prescribe a pain killer and perhaps put a splint to help the tail recover.  or call your local shelter, aspca and humane society, they have excellent health care at low costs.  let me know, will send you links

  3. It will not hurt to give your dog just one aspirin as a temporary measure to help his pain and until the vets is open again. Just don`t give them to him on a regular basis.

I give my dog the occasional aspirin (once, maybe twice a week) for her arthritis so she can come on a short walk and it seems to help.

I can remember about 20 years ago there used to be a remedy on the market and sold over the counter in pet shops called Rheumatine and it was for dogs with Rheumatic pain and consisted of mainly Aspirin.

About 10 years ago it disappeared from the shelves. My old dog used to have 4 of these tablets a day for his pain for over 3 years and he lived until he was 13 (gsd) so i find it hard to understand why some people think aspirin is bad for dogs. My vet says one tablet every now and then is ok, but not to give them as a regular treatment.

  4. i wouldnt try it - it may just kill him

just ask the vet for a prescription!

  5. If you do, baby aspirin is the only thing that my vet said was ok for animals. I would limit it to 2 tablets every few hours, but take him to the vet in the mean-time!

  6. NO way! It could kill the dog or give him more pain. Just call the vet and see what he/she says!!!

  7. NO human pain relief can cause the heart to beat too fast and the dog will die. Find a vet - would you rather your dog suffered the rest of his life, or with the human pain relief die, and with the vets help live a happy carefree life.

  8. Human Pain meds are NOT for dogs.. they can severely impact your dogs health. Take your dog to the vet. I know it's a Sunday but their are Emergency Animal Hospital all over the place.

  9. Till you can get your dog to the vet which you must do it is ok to give an aspirin or 2 depending on your dogs size.

Just please don`t think that this will help very much with your dogs pain.

Knowing that this is Sunday be sure to take your dog to an emergency clinic in your area as this may be giving your dog a lot of pain.

    Good luck and God bless

  10. No, No, No!! It may appear to be okay, but dogs and humans have different emune systems so would require different treatments to problems, for all we know a medication prescribed for humans for pain could have horrible effect on dogs and give them problems with their digestive system, take him/her to your local vets asap as it could be worst than you think

    I hope this helps

  11. it depends on a lot of things. if your dog is completely healthy besides the dislocated tail then i think maybe half of an aspirin wouldn't hurt him. my friend has a yellow lab with hip problems and if he seems to be a lot of pain they give him half an aspirin and it seems to work great for him.

though if your worried just call your vet and ask him. he'll give you the run down if he's/she's a good person.

  12. Are you just going to keep asking until you get the answer you want?

We already told you, call a vet!
